How to Use the LFC Ticketing System

Navigating the LFC ticketing system can seem complex, but this guide aims to simplify it. Here's what you generally need to know for the 2025-26 season:

  • Official Website: Always use the official LFC ticketing website: ticketing.liverpoolfc.com.
  • Membership: For most Premier League home games, you'll need an official LFC Membership.
  • All Red Ticket Sale: From the 2025-26 season, Liverpool FC has introduced the new "All Red" ticket sale system replacing the previous ballot system:
    • Members with 13+ Premier League home credits automatically get access to sales without registration
    • Other eligible members register for a ballot, indicating seat preferences and price
    • Successful ballot winners are automatically allocated seats based on preferences
    • Payment is processed automatically with the card registered during ballot registration
    • Apple Pay and Google Pay are now available payment options
  • Ticket Forwarding: Limited to once per game, but can be returned to original owner in exceptional circumstances
  • Friends & Family: Up to 18 people can be added throughout the season, but removals are locked from September 1, 2025
  • Credits: For 13+ members, credits are now only earned via ticket forwarding, as ticket distribution has been discontinued

Note: The ticketing system was reformed for the 2025-26 season to improve the supporter experience and combat ticket misuse.

The main way of getting tickets from sales is through 'Refreshing'.

Once you are through the queue for a sale, you'll see a 'Hall-map' which will show available tickets.

Whilst it may say sold-out, this just means that there are no tickets on the 'Hall-map' at that moment. Refreshing will check again to see if any tickets have become available. The Website will not live-update.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I absolutely need an LFC Official Membership to buy tickets?

For most Premier League home games, yes, an official LFC Membership is required. For some cup games or less in-demand matches, there might be a general sale, but this is rare for league games. Always check the specific sale details for each match on the official LFC website.

What are "credits" and how do they help?

Credits are typically earned by attending previous games. For the 2025-26 season, the ticket distribution option for 13+ members has been discontinued, meaning credits can only be earned when tickets are shared via the ticket forwarding option. Members with 13+ Premier League home credits automatically get access to the All Red ticket sale without needing to register. Accumulating credits can give you priority access for high-demand fixtures.

If the sale page says "Sold Out", should I give up?

Not necessarily immediately. As mentioned in the 'How to Use' section, "Sold Out" often means no tickets are available at that exact moment. Tickets can reappear on the hall map as other users' baskets expire or if additional small batches are released. Persistent refreshing can sometimes yield results, but be mindful that it's not a guarantee.

How does the queueing system work?

When a sale opens, you'll typically be placed in a virtual queue. The queue system is designed to manage the high volume of traffic. Once you're through the queue, you'll have a limited time to select and purchase your tickets. It's crucial to be ready when the sale starts to get a good place in the queue.

How does the new "All Red" ticket sale work?

The All Red ticket sale is a new system introduced for the 2025-26 season that streamlines the ticket purchase process:

  • Members with 13+ Premier League home credits automatically get access without registration
  • Other eligible members register for a ballot, indicating seat preferences and price
  • If successful in the ballot, members are automatically allocated seats based on their preferences
  • No more queuing online to purchase tickets after winning the ballot
  • Payment is automatically processed using the card registered during ballot registration
  • Disabled supporters who win the ballot will be contacted separately to select appropriate seating

For more details, visit the official LFC All Red ticket sale page.

What are the new ticket forwarding rules?

From the 2025-26 season:

  • Tickets can only be forwarded once per game
  • In exceptional circumstances, forwarded tickets can be returned to the original owner
  • The ticket forwarding period has been extended and remains open until kick-off
  • For European away fixtures, ticket forwarding is available on a trial basis
  • Recipients must be on your Friends & Family list (max 18 people)

Note: If you've previously downloaded a general admission NFC pass, you'll need to re-download a new pass for the 2025-26 season to use ticket forwarding.
